What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What exactly is a channel for marketing? And why should an online marketing professional have one?

It is a marketing strategy designed to attract potential customers to your site. It's a selling process where visitors come to your website to find information that may help solve a problem. But, with the help of certain tools, you will be able to establish a relationship with each visitor.

This will help to be aware of the needs of each user. This will enable you to provide the most relevant information possible for all visitors. When you earn the trust of your visitors, they will be more likely to purchase your products. The customer becomes the visitor.

Some customers end up becoming very loyal customers, willing to buy every product you advertise. Marketing funnels are a compilation of the various steps involved in converting visitors to buyer who is willing to buy whatever you sell.

For every internet marketing professional, this is the final goal. This can be achieved easily with a properly designed funnel.

Your marketing efforts are capturing people's attention, and drawing them to your funnel. When they fill out the forms that you have on your PERSONAL Lead Capture Page, they enter the funnel. Because no one will opt in to your business lead capture page, I said "personal". They are looking for an executive to join them, not a small business.

The lead capture page is where they begin the funnel. If they click on the "Sign up now" or "Enter here" buttons, they are able to access a whole different universe of marketing through networks.

The most appealing part is that they are qualifying themselves to do it. It's their choice. You've not offered anything other than that you're a leader, mentor, and someone who can show them how to increase leads and more money in their businesses.

This is the way a typical funnel functions.

To draw customers to your product To attract and qualify people to your products, you must offer them a freebie to be offered on the "front end". You must sign up to get the product (also called opt in) and then enter your email address and name. Then, they will be added to your email mailing list.

Now you have those people on your email list and can send other similar offers to them that they may be interested in.

When they sign to the offer, they'll be taken to a webpage that provides a low price or what is known as the tripwire offer. It is here that they'll be taken to the "backend" of your funnel.

If they purchase the bargain priced offer then they will be taken to a different offer with a higher cost (normally called an upsell). If the buyer purchases the higher-priced offer, they'll be transferred to the next product at an even higher cost. This can go on and on...
